In 1945, Rolex chose to name its new watch the “Datejust” not for its functionality, the date display, but to celebrate the fact that the date jumps instantly at midnight, in a fraction of a second.

At the time, this instant-jump mechanism was a feat of pure mechanical engineering.

Competitors featured dates that advanced slowly over several hours, making the reading approximate in the evening. Rolex solved the problem with the instant-jump disc and filed for a patent.

The Jubilee bracelet, created for the occasion, bears this name precisely because it celebrates the brand’s jubilee.

Hans Wilsdorf, founder of Rolex, was personally committed to ensuring that the bracelet was as meticulously crafted as the watch itself, an unusual requirement at a time when most manufacturers considered the bracelet a secondary accessory.

The Datejust has been worn by presidents, heads of state, and Nobel laureates.

Dwight Eisenhower received one as a gift upon his triumphant return to America after World War II.

France: Standard home delivery is complimentary.

Europe: Delivery fee of €75, complimentary for orders over €5,000.

Belgium: Delivery fee of €50, complimentary for orders over €5,000.

International: Delivery available at a rate of €200 via a secure carrier.

In-store collection is also available and complimentary. You will be notified by email as soon as your order is ready.

Returns

You have 30 days from receipt of your order to exercise your right of withdrawal.
Returns are covered within France, and refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 days of receiving the returned item, provided that the product is sent back in its original condition, complete, and accompanied by the invoice.
